College Counseling

The Bishop Kearney Guidance department is an integral part of the school community. The department works closely with administration, teachers, parents, and students in order to ensure the academic, social, and emotional success of each student. Students meet with their counselor on a weekly basis, which helps form lasting relationships over four years of high school. Counselors work closely with each student in order to make sure that they will find success in high school and in post secondary education. Bishop Kearney is proud of its highly successful college counseling program. All Kearney students are prepared for higher education and success upon graduation.

  • Weekly guidance classes which focus on academics, college preparation, and career readiness.
  • Naviance is a college preparation and search tool available to all students at Bishop Kearney. Upperclasswomen prepare all their college materials, transcripts, recommendations and resumes through Naviance and parents have access through Family Connection.
  • Bishop Kearney offers college credit through St. Joseph's College and St. John's University. Students had the ability to take several courses ranging from AP Calculus to Advanced Biology in order to receive over a year of college credit. These classes help prepare our students for the challenges of post secondary education.
