Ways to earn college credits ON-CAMPUS; in collaboration with St. Joseph’s College and St. John’s University at Bishop Kearney High School:

 

At Bishop Kearney High School we offer the following Advanced Placement (AP) Courses:

  • Calculus AB
  • Chemistry
  • English Language and Composition
  • English Literature
  • Psychology
  • American History

Each Advanced Placement exam costs $94.00 payable to Bishop Kearney High School.  The exam fee(s) is due by Friday, January 4th, 2019.

In partnership with St. Joseph's College – College Experience Program, Bishop Kearney offers the following courses for college credit – ON CAMPUS at Bishop Kearney

  • MAT 205 AP Calculus
  • HIS 170 AP American History
  • ENG 123 AP English Literature (For Seniors)

Students interested in applying for this program can register at https://bkadmissions.sjcny.edu/register/BishopKearneyFA18.  Each course costs $150.00 per semester, payable to Bishop Kearney High School.  The payment is due by Friday, October 19th, 2018.

In partnership with St. John's University – College Advantage Program, Bishop Kearney offers the following courses for college credit:

  • BIO 1008 Anatomy and Physiology
  • FYW 1000 First Year Writing (AP English Language for Juniors)

***The deadline to apply is Wednesday October 3rd, 2018.*** Students interested in applying for St. John’s College Advantage Program should go to https://www.stjohns.edu/admission-aid/college-advantage-applications  to find out more and to submit their application and payment.  Tuition is $325.00, paid directly to St. John’s University.

 

Ways to earn college credits OFF-CAMPUS, in collaboration with St. Joseph’s College:

 

In partnership with St. Joseph's College—College Experience Program, Kearney offers the following courses for college credit – OFF CAMPUS at St. Joseph’s College

  • COM 150 – Introduction to Computer Programming – 3 Credits; Saturdays 10am-1pm
  • BIO 115 – Introduction to Human Inheritance – 3 Credits; Saturdays 9am-1pm
  • ENG 105 – Creative Writing – 3 Credits; Tuesdays 4pm-7pm
  • REC 277 – Introduction to Therapeutic Recreation – 3 Credits; Tuesdays 4pm-1pm

***The deadline to apply is Friday September 28th, 2018.*** Classes begin Saturday, October 6th (COM 150 and BIO 115); Tuesday, October 9th (ENG 105 and REC 277) and run through late January with breaks for Thanksgiving and Winter Recess.  Students interested in applying for St. Joseph’s College Experience should go to http://www.sjcny.edu/brooklyn/college-experience to find out more and to submit their application.  Tuition is $300.00, plus the cost of books per course, paid directly to St. Joseph’s University.
