Bishop Kearney is pleased to announce the expansion of its STEM program to include a state-of-the-art STEM Wing!

Phase I was the construction of the Fabrication Lab and the update to the music room which was completed in the middle of June 2017.

A FabLab is a workshop of manual and cutting-edge tools that serves as a platform for project-based learning and teaching. FabLabs link art, design, and technology to expand the notions and applicability of science, technology, engineering, and math. Bishop Kearney's FabLab features:

    • 3D printer
    • Laser cutter
    • Vinyl cutter
    • Design software
    • Virtual reality
    • Computers
    • Electronics equipment
    • Basic shop tools

Phase II was an update to the Chemistry Lab, moving WBKS to the third floor into newly constructed space and a Think Tank. The Think Tank is a collaborative and innovative space that was inspired by the corporate offices at Google and Facebook. This comfortable and creative space is for students and faculty to prototype, think through ideas and problem solve.

The multilevel expansion is being funded through the support of our corporate, foundation and alumnae supporters. It is through their generosity that we are able to continue to enhance the educational and internship opportunities for our students without raising the cost of tuition these past two years.
