Staying in touch and keeping up with today!

Get started…

Kearney’s 1:1 Chromebook initiative continues with our incoming class! All new students will receive a Chromebook to use in school and at home in order to enhance their learning process with a multitude of resources, including Google Apps for Education and Google Classroom. SMART Boards are also used in classrooms throughout the school, offering students an engaging and interactive learning experience through audio, video and shared activities.

and keep in touch

Students can track academic progress and keep up with assignments with PlusPortals, a secure online viewstation for grades and homework. Parents have a login too, besides receiving important announcements via email, voicemail, text and our website.

with the latest news

News for students, by students! We’re pleased to announce that 21st Century Fox has given WBKS, our student-run television station, a donation of state-of-the art equipment worth over $100,000, as well as providing ongoing support and mentorship for our students in their career aspirations. Join WBKS to train for your future in broadcasting on the same equipment currently used in major television studios - and join us every morning in the classroom for the news you need to know.

in Technology!

Kearney helps you prepare for your future with classes such as Technology for Business and Programming with Project Lead the Way, and after-school programs - many of which are mentored by real professionals currently working in the field - including 2 & 3D Animation using iStopMotion, and NASA’s CELERE science/design competition that teaches students to use CAD with DraftSight. Join the Kearney Koders to battle it out in Pace University’s Mobile App Design contest, or come with us on a trip to the Code Like a Girl event in Manhattan. Computers and laptops – both PCs and Macs - are available to work on assignments or practice new skills everywhere you look - in our library, our computer labs, our subject-centered resource centers and our Guidance department. Our library also has Kindles, iPads, laptops, MacBooks and e-books on loan, and our guidance department provides Naviance, a college and career planning platform that helps students choose their future, stand out from the crowd and present their best college applications.

With the active participation of Kearney’s talented teachers, professional club leaders and amazing students, Kearney’s technology initiatives are enhancing student learning while teaching the skills needed to lead today’s workforce.
