After graduating from Bishop Kearney, Pam attended NYU and graduated as valedictorian of her class with her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2005 summa cum laude with a minor in Latin and Classical Civilization. In the fall of 2005, Pam began her graduate studies in natural product synthesis and organic chemistry at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA, eventually resulting in her Ph.D. in 2011 in the labs of Professor Brian Stoltz. Currently, Pam is a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow in the labs of Professor Eric Jacobsen at Harvard University where she studies new methods in enantioselective catalysis. Pam now resides in Cambridge, MA, with her husband, Chris Gilmore (Caltech, Ph.D. 2012), who is a chemist at Dow Chemical Company. In the future, she plans to pursue a position as a tenure-track faculty member at a major research university.
