On Monday, November 27th, National Grid executives toured Bishop Kearney’s new STEM Wing. Among the visitors were Ken Daly, President of NY Operations (husband of Laurie Garcia Daly ‘85); Carol T. Decina ‘79, Manager, Customer & Community Management; Eileen McNamara Cifone ‘83, Manager, NYC Government Relations; Lorraine Lynch ‘87, Vice President and Treasurer and Board Member of National Grid Foundation; and Edward White, Executive Director of National Grid Foundation.
During their tour, the National Grid executives discovered how the Bishop Kearney students incorporated technology into their classes as they watched the students in action in the FabLab. The students described their projects and aim: to use their FabLab creations to build a positive social impact.
Although the executives graduated in various years, they all had similar experiences as students and spoke about the life long friendships they made while here and how much they valued their Kearney education.
Kearney is thriving and proud of its accomplishments. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with National Grid because partnerships are essential for helping students achieve their maximum potential and the job of educating students today cannot be achieved without the collaborative efforts of our partners.
