ART STUDENTS VISIT METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART

Pictured above are some of the art students during their annual trip to the Metropolitan Art Museum.  The students were exposed to a wide variety of art forms on their guided tour.  In addition to the tour, they spent time exploring the museum on their own.

Paulina Paszkowski, a senior in AP Art, experienced the exhibit “Michelangelo: Divine Draftsman and Designer” and commented that “It was amazing to see his artwork up close.” Pauline and the others were amazed at how the photographs of the paintings from the Sistine Chapel were reproduced on the ceiling of the MET.

A bonus to this trip was that the students were able to  view many New York City landmarks as they traveled by bus down 5th Avenue, including Tiffany's, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and of course the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center.
