BISHOP KEARNEY IS PLEASED TO INTRODUCE OUR NEW LIBRARY MEDIA SPECIALIST

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Ann Quinlivan ‘91 who will be joining Bishop Kearney as the new Library Media Specialist for the upcoming 2018-2019 academic school year.

Ann has a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Secondary Education from The State University of New York at New Paltz and a Master of Library Science from St. John’s University.

For the past five years, Ann has been the School Librarian for Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy in Forest Hills.  In addition, she recently served as a Globalteer Volunteer in Cambodia where she created a lending library and assisted local teachers with teaching English to students. She also has been a Literacy Volunteer that involved presenting various literacy activities in New York City public libraries and parochial schools.

Ann said, "I am thrilled to be joining the faculty of my alma mater, Bishop Kearney High School.  I loved my years as a Kearney Girl, and I look forward to serving our current Kearney Girls as their School Library Media Specialist.  I am excited to work with our students and teachers to promote reading, research skills, and project-based learning.  I know that we will accomplish great things together!"
