On November 8th, School Counselors Anna Cantirino and Brittany Sconzo accompanied 30 Bishop Kearney juniors and seniors on tours of Sacred Heart and Fairfield Universities in Connecticut.
The students had a chance to explore the campuses, ask questions, hear from a current student, and consider what school was right for them. Visiting a college campus can be pivotal in a student’s decision to apply to a school.
According to Anna Cantirino, "Visiting a variety of college campuses, including those inside and outside of NYC allows students to make informed decisions about their future plans. It allows them to picture themselves in a particular environment and discover what they like and dislike. An college campus visit is an irreplaceable experience as an integral part of the college application process!"
The School Counselors have already accompanied the students on a tour of Columbia University and have plans to visit Brooklyn College later this month.
