Bishop Kearney High School announces the inauguration of the Project Lead the Way Computer Science Program which empowers students to become creators, instead of merely consumers, of technology.
Project Lead the Way is the premier developer of curriculum used by high schools. Beyond learning the fundamentals of programming, students build computational thinking skills by applying computer science to collaboration tools, modeling and simulation, and data analysis.
Mr. Stephan Aguanno, the newest member of the Bishop Kearney faculty, will be teaching the course after recently completing certification training from Project Lead the Way.
PLTW Computer Science is one of the most highly regarded Computer Science Programs in the United States. The curriculum has been created with input from leading industry professionals, university professors, and high school educators across the nation. Our young women will learn to code and design the mobile apps of their dreams, and they will use their technology skills to serve the community.
