CARNEGIE HALL - WE MADE IT!!

On Saturday, June 17th Bishop Kearney students Marie Nera, Nicole Abbate, Kelley Castro, Donatella Bavaro, Maria Giambanco, and Gabriella Guzman made their Carnegie Hall debut under the baton of guest conductor Dr. Christian Grases.  The students participated in a 100 voice choir composed of singers from around the country arranged by Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY).  They performed "La Doncella" composed by DCINY's composer in residence, Alberto Grau.  The piece was performed with an orchestra and incorporated body percussion, improvisation, narration and extensive use of syncopation.
